The overhead bridge, located at Srijanachowk in Pokhara-8 built by the metropolitan city office with an estimated cost of Rs 21.5 million has become operational with majority of its construction work being completed.

The overpass bridge,being an ambitious project which was conceived about two years ago with an aim to reduce the budding traffic jams and to facilitate the pedestrians safe road crossing experience, has begun functioning. The project engineer, Raju Regmi confirmed the same and added,the work related to glass roof installation alongside daubing was only left out.The chairman,Rudranath Baral of Pokhara-8, further commented that, the late Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari had contributed Rs five million for the project wherin the amount was taken from the Local Infrastructure Development Programme (LIDP),formely named as the Constituency Development Fund.
